Your Google Account password is used to access many Google products, like Gmail and YouTube. New Google Accounts come with Gmail, so you should already have a Gmail address if you’ve created your account recently. You can search for “free email providers” to find another email provider you like and set up an account. When you add Gmail, your Gmail address will become the primary username on your account. It will be what others see when you share information, such as documents or photos, from your Google Account. Be exact with passwords
If you’re having trouble resetting your password or can’t sign in to your account, get more help. Choose a password that you haven’t already used with this account. You don’t need to have a Gmail address to create a Google Account. You can also use a non-Gmail email address to create one instead. If you don’t specify your gender, we’ll refer to you in gender-neutral terms, like “Send them a message.” By default, your gender isn’t shared with other people who use Google services.

For example, near your birthday Google may decorate your profile picture wherever it may appear. Others can see your birthday and birthday highlights when they communicate with you or view content you create in some Google services. You can change your password for security reasons or reset it if you forget it.
